I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Trace in Dec 2021
Interview
The screening call went well and I learned quite a bit of information. The next interview was about a week later. This time the trace employee blew off our first scheduled call and when we finally got on the phone he didn’t seem to really understand the role of a CSM (at Trace or in general). He asked me one-off questioned about sales experience and other hypotheticals but it was never a conversation. Clearly not a good fit.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
How would you go about discovering up-sale opportunities
How can we solve the problem churn caused by teams “aging out” of target market (I.e. the team graduates high school and no longer plays soccer, baseball, etc)

Interview
The HR lady, contacted me via LinkedIn asking me if I’d be interested in Speaking with her for the CSM position for which I agreed and booked some time in her calendar.
When the meeting came up, she was 15 min late, barely had any signal and was clearly doing something else. Suddenly she hang up and replied 6 hours later that “she didn’t know what happened.”.
Given the disrespect of this Rookie recruiter I had a negative experience with Trace. They have some internal HR work to do.
