With a lengthy career in the marketing sector, I have had the opportunity to experience both, positive and negative interview experiences. My experience with Tracelink ranks among the worst I have gone through. The recruiting and hiring teams were extremely disorganized, scheduling calls and the on-site interview took weeks, follow-ups came only in response to my inquiries, and the promised "final step" of the process never materialized.
Of the hiring team, fully two thirds were amazingly self-absorbed. Their interviews consisted of few asked questions, instead going into lengthy diatribes about their personal history and experiences, few of which directly related to the role or its responsibilities. Even attempts to guide conversations back to the role or company would turn into expositions of personal accomplishments.
Overall, there seemed to be very little respect for my time as a candidate and potential member of the team. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise my personal network to keep clear of Tracelink as a potential employer.
