Interview
I was contacted by an HR Coordinator a few days after applying via email. She requested a same-week phone call. We picked the time and day for the call, I had to ask if she would call me or I would call her. She emailed me 6 days later wanting to move me forward and asked for same-week availability. We picked a day. I had to ask for confirmation on time. She provided no details (who to ask for, where to park, the address, etc.). I arrived 3 minutes early and the door was locked. I met with the hiring manager in a sort of impromptu conference room and he rubbed me the wrong way early on. He would ask basic interview questions and then feel the need to clarify them at length before I could answer. I also learned only in the interview process that the CSM role was for only digital marketing products. Nothing in my phone screen indicated this was a necessary skillset. I also asked the hiring manager to describe the culture and he immediately answered with *negative* aspects of the company, then segued into telling me about free snacks and kombucha on tap.
Company leaders everywhere: Stop thinking free Lacroix is culture! It's so not!
The interview lasted 75 minutes and was only with him. I received an email 2 days later that I was not selected to move on.
Overall, the process seemed rather informal and lacked polish (no email signatures, nothing nicely formatted, overly casual interview setting). I wasn't interested in the job anymore after meeting the hiring manager.

Interview
The overall interview process seemed simple but disorganized. I was requested for an interview with the HR, then moved onto the second round in a week with one of the team members. The interview went really well(at least I thought it did), enjoyed our conversation and my experience really aligned with the role. A week later, I was sent an automated rejection email with no reasoning–not even a chance at the next round. A big reminder to continue searching, taking interviews, and prioritize yourself.
