After initial screening with the recruiter I made it to the 2nd round. Discussion with the recruiter went great, and she identified 3 roles within TRACTIAN that I could be suitable for based on my education/experience. 2nd round did not go well. Interviewer was late to the call, didn't turn his camera on (given the customer-facing nature of the role, it would seem appropriate to have cameras on to pick up on facial queues). Bulk of the call was spent doing a surprise role play scenario of my last job (Inside Sales Development). We only spent a few short minutes discussing the role I applied for (Field Engineer), no time on other roles the recruiter identified as potentially suitable (sales engineer, customer success manager). We didn't touch on my experience or why I want to work for TRACTIAN, All in all, I felt like I was being interviewed for another Sales Development role. I sent a note to the recruiter the following week to express my concerns and to ask for a second, more focused conversation. I have not heard back.
