      Graphic Designer Interview

      Jan 15, 2021
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Toronto, ON
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at TradeRev (Toronto, ON) in Mar 2017

      Interview

Interview process involved in-person meetings, several phone interviews, a cold call from a "marketing" expert, and zero communication between interviewers. They did not even know what the job description was and could not give any pertinent information. The entire process was clownish and triggered many red flags for me throughout. I toughed it out over a 3-week period until I finally had enough and stopped bothering with their inane babbling and lack of cohesion. Some of the highlights included the CEO telling me I was their top candidate, wanted to hire me, and was no longer interviewing others, but still wanted to wait a week at which point when he did a complete 180. His "marketing expert" gave me a hokey phone quiz for half an hour, then after ending our chat, called me 10 seconds later asking for someone else. They also expected me to undertake projects for free to "prove my skills". I was done with them at this point. Completely unprofessional.
