I applied in-person. I interviewed at Trader Joe's (Nashua, NH) in Nov 2025
Interview
I have an open availability in my schedule for every Tuesday through Sunday at any time, I even showed them that I had a ServSafe Certification and a Bachelors Degree. 2 managers interviewed me and told me I was a strong candidate. I told them I was interested in the position as I would like to grow with the company and I'm looking for something stable.
However, most likely they thought I was overqualified, as I've been told that before by other places and so I was not chosen at the end.
When I called back to check on the status of my application they said they sent out emails, that the position was filled and I never even recieved one.
Furthermore, during the time I called back to check on the status of my application, a manager checked on my application status while I was on hold and sent out the email, followed by sorry try next time, then I got hung up. Just Wow
It was really disappointing, because good talent gets dismissed easily.
Very chill, asked things a lot of job interviews don't, more personal down to earth questions. Made me feel very comfortable. Professional but also cool vibes from everyone who interviewed me. Went to one interview with mates and another with the captain.
I had 3 separate interviews. 1 was over the phone. 2 were in person. I never heard anything after the third interview. I called the store about a week later and they let me know they didn’t actually have any available positions. Really felt like they wasted my time.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Trader Joe's (West Hollywood, CA)
Interview
Casual, took place outside of the store. First I had a phone call interview. Then another which was in-person with 2 of the mates in the store, and finally a third in-person with the captain of the store.
