I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Trader Joe's (Atlanta, GA) in Sep 2014
Interview
You can print from the internet or ask for one when you're in the store. When you fill it out you'll be given a short interview on the spot- to weed out the absolute no's. I've done this step a few times but this time it went well. She asked about my favorite products, why I want to work there etc. We hit it off and she said that she loved my "open availability". She told me to come back and check in a week if I hadn't heard anything. I did that about a week later and I was shot down very rudely being told that "everyone wants to work at Trader Joe's" and that I should check back in two or three weeks. I told him that the manager previously told me that they were hiring and he said that "it was too soon". I left with a sour taste. Maybe a week after that I got a phone call and was asked to come for an interview. The interview went well. I was asked again about my favorite products and seemed to genuinely enjoy talking with me. We talked about retail jobs I'd had before and how I felt about tasking. He told me a bit about the company, he obviously loves his job. He asked if I had any questions and I made sure to ask plenty. He said he'd call in 3-5 days but called THE NEXT DAY. I scheduled a second interview- this time with the Captain. The interview did not go as well. She asked all the same questions and I answered about the same (probably with less enthusiasm) and she again asked if I had any questions. I said I discussed a lot of things in the first interview so I didn't feel I had any new questions. Honestly, I felt let down. She didn't discuss the company at all or what is expected or what they're offering. And she fidgeted a lot, which I thought was a sign of her being uncomfortable or not wanting to talk to me. I didn't get a call or a letter so I assume I didn't get the position.

Question 1
What is your sense of humor?
What is the best and worst thing that's happened to you recently?
The interview process was absolutely wonderful! I didn't feel stressed or nervous and it felt like I was just chatting with a friend! Trader Joes is a great company and the interview was great.
Very chill, asked things a lot of job interviews don't, more personal down to earth questions. Made me feel very comfortable. Professional but also cool vibes from everyone who interviewed me. Went to one interview with mates and another with the captain.
I had 3 separate interviews. 1 was over the phone. 2 were in person. I never heard anything after the third interview. I called the store about a week later and they let me know they didn’t actually have any available positions. Really felt like they wasted my time.
