I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Trader Joe's
Interview
They tell you that they will call you, but, most likely will not. However, if you contact them too often asking about the job, they won't hire you either, so it's all about finding a balance and being proactive. Years ago, they had a math test in the application which you had to pass in order to get hired. Also, you had to be able to lift a certain amount of weight to get hired. You may be able to negotiate your pay based on experience.
If you get the job, be prepared to work most, if not all, weekends. Also, the hours can vary - one week you're coming in as early as 4 AM and the next you're leaving around midnight. Sometimes, depending on your availability, you'll have an early and a ate shift one after the other with only an 8 hour turn-around.
The interview process was absolutely wonderful! I didn't feel stressed or nervous and it felt like I was just chatting with a friend! Trader Joes is a great company and the interview was great.
Very chill, asked things a lot of job interviews don't, more personal down to earth questions. Made me feel very comfortable. Professional but also cool vibes from everyone who interviewed me. Went to one interview with mates and another with the captain.
I had 3 separate interviews. 1 was over the phone. 2 were in person. I never heard anything after the third interview. I called the store about a week later and they let me know they didn’t actually have any available positions. Really felt like they wasted my time.
