The interview was easy – read about the company, prep some answers so you feel confident and you should ace it.
My issue is I have limited availability, I made that very clear on my job application, so when they invited me for an interview I was over the moon! We got along great and it seemed like an awesome fit. They asked to schedule a 2nd interview, at which point they disclosed that my training and subsequent hours would be entirely outside of my listed availability.
Because I was invited to an interview and they knew my available hours, I figured they were looking for coverage for shifts during that time, because why even invite someone for an interview with that being the case? Did they assume I would rework my entire life for a job at TJ's?
TJ's talks big about leading with integrity, but getting my hopes up like that felt like the opposite of integrity. Leading with integrity would've been communicating that expectation prior to scheduling an interview. It felt especially cruel with how difficult it is to find a job at present. Now I've wasted my time, your time, my gas, and gotten my family's hopes up for nothing.
The interview process was absolutely wonderful! I didn't feel stressed or nervous and it felt like I was just chatting with a friend! Trader Joes is a great company and the interview was great.
Very chill, asked things a lot of job interviews don't, more personal down to earth questions. Made me feel very comfortable. Professional but also cool vibes from everyone who interviewed me. Went to one interview with mates and another with the captain.
I had 3 separate interviews. 1 was over the phone. 2 were in person. I never heard anything after the third interview. I called the store about a week later and they let me know they didn’t actually have any available positions. Really felt like they wasted my time.
