Was contacted by a recruiter to gauge my interest in a position. The recruiter provided my resume to the hiring manager, told me that the hiring manager really liked what they saw, and I was then strung along for a while with the excuse, "The hiring manager is trying to find time on their calendar to talk to you." Then they ghosted me. It's one thing for an unqualified applicant to never hear anything, but it's another to contact someone that never even applied, tell them they're a great fit, and then ghost them.
