I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Transamerica in Jun 2012
Interview
I found the position posted on LinkedIn and applied via LinkedIn. I was contacted a few days later by an HR representative asking me to schedule a phone interview.
The phone interview was pretty basic. They asked mostly behavioral type questions and asked about some of the projects listed on my resume. After the phone interview I was contacted by HR again shortly after to set up an on-site interview in Los Angeles.
The on-site interview was fairly short. About 30 minutes with the hiring manager and his boss. They asked mostly technical questions relating to the Java programming language and object oriented programming.
After the interview I was told that it seemed I had more experience than the other person that was being considered and would most likely get the job. I was called on the drive back to my university that I would receive an offer.
All employees were very nice and welcoming.
