Interview
I applied for a Localization Quality Manager position on LinkedIn. After about a week, I received an invitation to a video interview, i.e. an interview where I would record myself answering 3 simple questions. I did it, then I heard nothing back. After a couple of months, the same vacancy comes up again. I apply and get an invitation for an online interview of 30 min.
I was interviewed by the section manager and by a project manager. There was a sensation of sadness from both inteviewers but most of all they showed little interest or curiosity about me and my very rich experience in the field I was interviewing for. I had the impression that none of them came prepared with questions. After the initial presentation, I was asked 2 questions that seemed to have come up on the spot. There was no attempt to engage in a conversation, try to delve a little bit deeper in what I was saying. Within 15 min they had no more questions to ask.
