I was called to interview after beginning (but not completing) an online application. The 6 interview process was laid out as 3 phone, 1- 1:1, another phone and then one panel. Interviews (2) with human resources were very good--two way communication. The 1:1 was with someone who was terrible at interviewing AND who was the team lead. She had more questions written out than time could be answered in the time allotted for the interview (20 minutes). Questions were like: "Tell me about a time you worked with a difficult person." "Tell me about a time someone took credit for work you did." "Tell me about a time your team failed to meet a deadline."--questions that lead me to believe there were significant problems on this team! I had no opportunity to ask any follow-up questions and my "thank you" emails containing these unasked questions were not answered or acknowledged by this team lead. In addition, I found (through LinkedIn) the person who formerly held the position I was applying for and she declined to give any insight into the position or the company--just that she had the opportunity to "learn a lot" while there. When someone doesn't say one thing positive, I take that as a clue.
The office at which I interviewed evidently does not house people on a regular basis. On a scale of 1 - 10, 10 being best, I give it a "2." Meeting at Starbucks would have been more professional than seeing a place with filefolders stacked all over, cubicles full of bankers boxes, etc.
