I had a phone screen, followed (eventually) by an in-person interview. But this was not an easy process. I applied, waited a few weeks then called to follow up on my application. Was told I would hear back within a week. Called a week later, was told that they lost my application when they switched systems. Was told I'd hear back within a week. Got an offer for a phone screen. Had the phone screen and waited a few weeks. Didn't hear anything back. Called to follow up on the phone screen and was told "sorry, we've been too busy to hire". Get a call back the next day inviting me to an in-person interview. I have the in-person interview and was told I'd hear back within a week. Didn't hear back within that week. Emailed to follow up two weeks later, no response. Called to follow up two weeks after the follow-up email, no response. It made me seriously question the priorities of this company. I wasn't going to accept the offer either way, but still, to just leave an applicant hanging like that after inviting them to your office for an in-person interview ... questionable leadership.
