Interview
45 minutes resume based questions. Technical follow-ups based on resume projects. Then the last 15 minutes concerns one live coding question regarding gradient descent to find the minimum of a function.

What is the role of stock covariance matrix in portfolio optimization? How to measure 1000 stocks’ covariance efficiently(using factor loadings)?
What is stationarity?(weak and strong)
What is cointegration? In pairs trading, what is the difference between cointegration and correlation? Why can’t we use correlation?
Linear Regression assumptions?
What is multicollinearity? What are the problems it cause?
How to solve it?
Explain L1 and L2 regularization. Why is L1 sparse? Which is differentiable? How to solve L1 using numerical methods?
Coding: gradient descent to calculate minimum for x**2 - 2*x + 1 + 3 * np.sin(np.pi * x)

4 rounds, focused on machine learning and probability based questions. Had final ceo round too. Projects on resume important. Python needed for dsa as well, moderate level dsa. more focus deep in ml

Interview
1 phone screen, 1 round with general problem on market to portfolio, 2 rounds ( 1 online and 1 onsite ) of Leetcode medium and a resume discussion and general fit with panel . Expect a hangman challenge which I did not get but it can happen .
The interview began with an introduction to the company, followed by a self-introduction and a discussion of my CV, including my prior experience and most significant achievements. The interview then moved on to coding and probability questions.
