Negative candidate experience. I was recruited for a role, the interview process was drawn out for months, and ultimately the position was left unfilled due to funding.
Recruiting/Interview Timeline:
Month 1: Recruiter reaches out & I have two 1:1 phone screens
Month 2: One panel interview, two 1:1 interviews with C Suite executives
Month 3: Nothing
Month 4: In person 1:1 informal conversation w/hiring manager
Month 5: One panel interview, one 1:1 interview with a C suite executive I previously interviewed with. Took personality and IQ assessments online as well as on site. Told they were not filling the position due to loss of funding
Overall, negative experience. Took time off of work for the interviews, spent hours preparing for each round. In addition to what is listed above, had numerous calls with the recruiter throughout the process, indicating things were going well and asked for my understanding that TriHealth was moving slow in this process. Recruiter informed me of lost funding and said the hiring manager would be reaching out to me directly to explain the situation, but I was not contacted.
