The interviewer asked a standard set of questions and then used Google Gemini to analyze all candidates without telling me that was what was happening until halfway through the interview. It felt super disrespectful to me as a candidate that I only learned they were using gemini halfway through the interview, the only warning I got was that gemini was “taking notes”. I felt I answered all the questions perfectly but then told I wasnt moving forward. It just feels like they didnt actually care what I said or how I answered it, they only cared who gemini told them should move on. It was not a “conversation” like a typical interview should be, just a one-sided impersonal grading of how I answered the questions without asking about any context or additional information. I would honestly get my lawyers involved if it was after February 1, 2026 as that is when Colorado’s AI discrimination law goes into effect. Terrible, awful interview experience that I wouldnt recommend to my worst of enemies. This is a great example of an unethical use of AI in the workplace and how it is making corporate America worse. I would never interview with this company again after this experience.
