I applied online. I interviewed at Tripadvisor in Dec 2020
Interview
The interview process was comprised of 4 rounds. First, I spoke with HR (phone) to make sure my background and goals were aligned with the position. Second, I met with the hiring manager (video) to learn more about the role/group and discuss my qualifications. Third, I met with leaders from three adjacent functions (video) to review my cross-functional competencies. Last, I met with the head of the business division (video) to learn more about the company vision and goals for the group.
Everyone I spoke to was incredibly intelligent and generous with their time. They pushed beyond my resume and asked questions that allowed me to demonstrate how I've used core skills in previous roles. The end-to-end process was quick (3 weeks), and I was always provided next steps without having to follow up.
