However, after the interview, one of the members from the interview panel contacted my current manager and informed them that I had attended the interview. This was a very unethical approach on their part, and it negatively affected my current job. Be cautious and ensure you ask them beforehand whether the interview process will remain confidential or if they plan to contact your current employer.
