The HR representative came across as quite impolite during the phone interview. When I was asked about my plans, I had just started to respond when I was abruptly interrupted. The HR mentioned they had my resume and immediately started explaining what the company does and what the role involves, which lasted around 2 to 3 minutes. After that, they asked whether I felt my qualifications matched the position. I answered honestly, and the HR quickly responded that I was not a good fit for the role. The call ended so abruptly that I didn’t even get a chance to say goodbye before they hung up. I understand that my background may not be a perfect match for the position, but I do feel that repeatedly cutting me off and not giving me the opportunity to fully respond came across as disrespectful.
