I was contacted by a recruiter for an initial phone with the usual questions about work experience. I then completed a video interview with the HM and was given a test to complete. I was told I had a week to complete it and to take my time. When I submitted my test after a week I notified the recruiter and she said she'd be back in touch soon. A week went by with no word from her so I followed up only to find out someone had accepted the position. The recruiter said she'd see if any other openings were available and I never heard back. I didn't bother to follow up at this point. Recruiters should keep a candidate updated on the status of their application instead of leaving it to me to reach out to find out if I'm moving forward.
