I recently went through Tulip’s interview process for a People Operations position, and it was a frustrating and drawn-out experience. The process consisted of five rounds of interviews, plus an assessment in the final stage. While I appreciated meeting different team members, I was asked the same questions in four of the interviews, making it feel redundant. The final interview was with three people I had already met individually, which didn’t add much value to the process.
Communication could have been better—I had to follow up to check my application status. After all that time and effort, I was ultimately told that I was too junior for the role, which is something that could have been determined just by reviewing my resume from the start.
Overall, while the interviewers were professional, the process felt inefficient and repetitive, and the lack of clarity on role expectations led to a poor candidate experience. If you're considering an interview with Tulip, be prepared for a lengthy process with little new insight at each step—and make sure the role aligns with your experience before investing too much time.
