They found me on LinkedIn, and projected an hiring process of at least 4-5 rounds. First round was a HR screening, the recruiter was really nice and enthusiastic. They emphasized that they require a colleague with manufacturing experience, which I lack, and it is clearly stated in my CV and LinkedIn profile, but they wanted to proceed regardless. The secong round was with the hiring manager, who was also very nice. When the previous topic about my lack of manufacturing experience came into discussion, they assured me to do not worry about it, they like my profile and want to proceed with me. Third round was a long, take home exercise in which I needed to create an app on their system, and present a QBR, which I did, and spent many hours working on this. The fourth round was the actual presentation for the CS leadership team. They seemed to like my presentation, and promised a prompt feedback. I received my decline in phone from the recruiter - I want to emphasize again, they were really nice - that they don't continue with me due to my lack of experience in manufacturing industry. This is stated at least 4-5 times during the hiring process, and since they were the ones who contacted me on LinkedIn, and assured me multiple times it is a non-issue, I found it really disrespectful to waste my time like this.
