I recently went through the recruitment process with Turnitin and wanted to share my experience. The first stage involved a CV screening with a recruiter, covering standard administrative topics such as eligibility, salary expectations, and right-to-work status. This part was straightforward and in line with typical hiring processes. I was then invited to a technical interview. While I believe my performance may not have fully met their expectations, I appreciate the opportunity to interview and understand that not all candidates will progress further. What I found disappointing, however, was the communication following the interview. Instead of receiving a tailored response, I was sent an automated rejection email that appeared to be a generic template typically used for early-stage CV rejections. This was confusing, as I had already progressed to the technical interview stage, and it initially made me wonder if it had been sent in error. I followed up via email to seek clarification, but unfortunately, I did not receive a response. While I understand that hiring teams can be busy and that not all candidates can receive detailed feedback, I would have appreciated clearer communication or at least a brief, personalized response after investing time in the interview process. Overall, while the initial stages of the process were smooth, the lack of communication and clarity at the end left a negative impression.
