I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Twilio (New York, NY) in Aug 2019
Interview
Had a phone screen where the recruiter asked about my most recent positions and how they related to the job description. At the end of the 30-minute call, he said that it seemed like my qualifications were perfect for what they wanted and that they would go to the next steps with the hiring manager. A week later I received a generic automated email saying that they were going to pass on my candidacy, which goes completely against what I was told over the phone by the recruiter. I emailed the recruiter back to see why the sudden change. No response. Very unprofessional.
We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with feedback from your experience. I would be frustrated too in this situation, and we apologize for any mixed messages. We have already discussed your feedback with the team to make sure that we do better next time.
