A recruiter reached out to me over email and asked for times to schedule a phone interview. I assumed the first round was an HR phone screen. The phone interviewer started immediately with behavioral questions with no introduction and then with 30 minutes left in the interview transitioned to CoderPad and took 10 minutes to explain the problem and get set up. The problem was complex, poorly explained, but ultimately easy to solve. The interviewer barely communicated during the technical part of interview and then ended abruptly without time for questions about the role or company culture.
I still don't know specifics about the role I was interviewing for. Twitch's interview process is one of the most immature compared to its peers. This experience left me completely disinterested in Twitch and reflected very poorly on the company.
