I'm sorry your interview process was not a positive one. That being said - I assure you that we take interviewing quite seriously, and to be frank - this doesn't sound consistent with how I've seen my team handle recruiter interviews. My folks generally handle all phone interviews in individual phone rooms, so I'm absolutely surprised that anyone here would allow colleagues to "shout in the room the interview took place". (I'm not denying your experience, but I have never seen this behavior on my team).
As for your concerns around diversity and bias, we do take that seriously as well - and our team does have an almost equal mix of men and women, as well as senior and junior folks. We certainly take the candidate experience seriously, and traditionally it's been a strong suit for us. (Your experience notwithstanding)
In my opinion, I don't think recruiters being "millennials" have anything to do with this. There are great recruiters with various levels of experience, and recruiting in general is an occupation where you continually need to grow and evolve to be successful. I've trained and taught many new recruiters, and they've taught me a ton over the years as well.
Again, I'm sorry it was not a fit and your experience was a negative one. Rest assured your feedback will be discussed and we'll continue to reflect and improve. If you would like to discuss further, we can certainly arrange to discuss directly offline.
thanks,
Arthur Yamamoto
Director of Recruiting
