Twitch interview questions

Sincerely apologize for the negative experience. Your feedback is absolutely valid and will be taken into account. As a recruiter, I'm sure you can understand that we try to focus on functional skill sets in the initial phone screen to do a first layer filtering, and believe that while culture fit / personality are factors, past experience is the strongest indicator of future success. We also firmly believe that starting with a more skills/experience based interview rather than focusing on personality reduces the influences of unconscious bias. Taking that into consideration, I do respectfully disagree that our processes are "archaic". But, I do agree that the recruiter on my team could have explained better to ensure a better experience. Lastly - rest assured that your status as a "gamer" is absolutely not a factor in our decision making. We have many folks at Twitch and in recruiting who are absolutely not gamers. We ask that question to get a sense of your knowledge of the industry and our product.
