I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Tyler Technologies (Seattle, WA) in Jun 2018
Interview
I was contacted by a team lead from team A 3 months after I applied. Passed the phone screen and had an on-site. Everyone was very kind and welcoming and I was surprised there weren't any strictly algorithm questions.
Fast forward a week and a half to an email from a recruiter: The original team didn't ever have headcount and the other two team want someone with more experience, but there is another team that wants to hire me, but I'd have to talk to them over the phone as a formality.
Another week and I meet the third team. They want to put me through another complete interview process (phone screen, on-site, etc). I emailed the recruiter to say I wasn't interested.
TL;DR The manager and devs I met were nice, but their initial contact misled me on what positions were available and their recruiter lied to try to fill another position.
