      Manager Interview

      Mar 1, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Tyson Foods

      Interview

My experience is based on an extensive phone screen. I was scheduled for a phone call with a particular person, and to my surprise a different person called me with no warning. I proceeded for the next 30+ minutes, describing in great detail my experience, answering many questions that had little relevance to the job posting, and giving well-crafted responses. I sent a thank you/follow up email, and weeks later another follow up. Nobody from the company has ever responded. I'm an adult; I could have handled the news that I didn't get the role. But to completely ignore my emails and have no human regard for candidates is unacceptable. Of course the interviewer doesn't know my particular situation, but to completely ignore someone who took unpaid time away from their job or family is rude. Personally, I was in a hospital while my mother was having an emergency surgery, and made the extra effort to find a private room where I could have this conversation rather than cancel the interview- I now regret being so accommodating for a company that can't have the decency to respond to an email. I wouldn't work for a company that can't treat candidates humanely, and neither should you. If they treat candidates this poorly through the screening process, how will they treat you once you're working for them?

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Tyson Foods in Dec 2023

      Interview

Did easy apply on LinkedIn for the role. Contacted via LinkedIn to set up an interview on a linked calendar (seems easy enough). Also asked to apply a second time on the company website (why two application processes I don't know). Recruiter missed the first interview. No reason or apology. Setup a second interview. Recruiter missed that one too. Now ghosted.
