I went through a phone screen and four rounds of interviews. The process of these interviews went on longer than expected due to internal delays. Most of the high level leaders I spoke with were very professional and made me feel welcome and that they would be fair considering me to be part of the team. Two senior directors, however, really did not. It was clear neither one had really read my resume or asked questions related to the position based on their understanding of my prior experiences.
After the last round of dual interviewers, I followed up with appropriate communication with the hiring manager and the recruiter. I never heard from either one of them. I called the recruiter a couple of weeks after that, and she said she didn’t know what was going on with the position, but that she would definitely would have an answer for me the next day. That answer never came. This was over a two month period. Seems a waste of time now, and my perception of Tyson Foods is that it is an insular, arrogant and rather backward company when it comes to professional emotional intelligence.
