Interview for GS13-0808 series architect was very quick and straight-forward, compared to what I've heard is the case at other agencies. After referral to the hiring manager, I was selected and scheduled for an interview within 1 week, and I was sent a temporary job offer (TJO) one week later. Interview was a single round with three panelists, who rotated in asking a series of ten questions about my experience and the role. Interview lasted one hour. Expect very little feedback or follow-up from the panelists, and for them to quickly move on to the next question. Look up "performance based interview questions" for a better idea of the type of questions to anticipate. Most of the items will be multi-part questions. They are looking to assess your hard skills, behavioral intelligence, and soft skills. You will need to be well prepared, with several "stories" you are able to tell using the "STAR method." Overall, the experience was very smooth, but it may be difficult if you don't have experience with this style of interview.
