The initial interview was conducted by video (pre-COVID). A variety of departmental staff gathered around an office computer to ask me questions. For the music department, you would think those faculty members knew about acoustics, but no. There was echo and feedback throughout the interview that made it difficult to hear and respond effectively. It was obvious they were fishing for a very specific skill set that had not been made clear on the job posting, which wasn't suitable for me or them. I was content with being turned down after the experience, but I'm sure whomever got the job is enjoying it.
