I applied online. I interviewed at UNC Chapel Hill in Nov 2023
Interview
It wasn't too bad, asked generic questions to gain a sense of my experience and skills. There was a panel of 3-4 people who interviewed me on a zoom call. The interview ultimately ended up being a waste of my time because they canceled the position a month or two later.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What are the qualities of an efficient communications specialist and what can you bring to the table?
Mind-numbing interviews that resulted in long periods of ghosting and unanswered emails. Very little communication and wasted energy and effort for candidates. The proposed start date is never accurate and the position ends up either being cancelled or given to another candidate without any personal email from the interviewers.
Applied for role and interviewed 3 months later. The interview was remote with one person from the department. However, it was recorded to be reviewed by others on the hiring panel.
