I visited my local recruiting station a few times and spoke to a recruiter about the army. Looked at a few jobs, decided to be the real soldier and join the infantry. You might think it's cool, but now that I am coming out of the army, I basically have no real transferable skills to offer to employers and I am not specialized in any field other than security. My options now include going back to school full-time thanks to the G.I bill. Becoming a police officer. Or doing private contracting security. Not too bad, but I could have joined a technical job, in I.T or anything that pays really well in the civilian sector and made a really smooth transition. Just something to think about.
Real cool, real fun, sleep at a hotel the night before. Free continental breakfast in the morning. Free bus ride too. Duck walk not cool. Sign paper, say bye to family.
