Hiring and interview process was relatively easy and fast. The Army was recruiting lots of Soldiers back then. You just go to a recruiting station, a recruiter will be assigned to you. The recruiter will gather all the paperworks that you need, take you to your medical exam, take you to your physical exam, etc.
it was hard, took a while to understand the questions. I had to think very very hard. How to deal with a difficult employee? I spoke to them and we came to a conclusion.

They just make sure you are qualified to join and that you don’t have any serious medical questions and that you don’t have any criminal charges that would have MEPS send you back. You can still get a waiver for a lot of things to still be able to get in.
