I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at US Defense Intelligence Agency in Sep 2016
Interview
The interview was conducted over the phone and lasted approximately 30 minutes. It wasn't really a question or answer based interview, but instead more of a situational interview. There were five questions each with a different focus (teamwork, leadership, dealing with authority).

Question 1
Describe a time where you had to deal with authority.
Initial writing test with prompt on current event or geopolitical issue and your analysis / argument about it. Then a panel interview with 4-5 interviewers asking a range of questions about reason for wanting to work there, what interests you in the opportunity, and background fit
There is an initial application on their website containing educational background, experiences, languages, and certifications. This is followed by a writing assignment and an interview with a panel of hiring managers.
The first interview was a written component. Once that was complete, I was selected to interview three analysts in the career field a few weeks later. All components of the interview were done online.
