I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Brooklyn, NY) in May 2017
Interview
First I applied online, did the assessment and about 30 mins later got an email to schedule to do the Exam I passed with I believe and 83%. They send your score to your email as soon as your done the test. About a couple of days later maybe 2 days I got another email which were a time to come into a location near me to do an interview and some paperwork and license background check before hand. They tell you how to dress on the sheet or else you will be kicked out and rescheduled as a few people did for wearing sneakers. It was about 35 people and we had to be there for 9 a.m, the paper says do not be late but we still had to wait almost a quarter pass 9 to head into the conference room. When we finally reached up everything was done in order and they explain to us what the job was and answered any questions. We also filled out a sheet of our driving record to the best of our knowledge where we had to write each accident or ticket we've ever gotten and we're told if we leave out any it can cause us not to get the job, and also if we had 3 or less tickets or violations we would be good. There were tables set up all around the room for about 8 interviewers to interview us. The guy that I had was very friendly and got straight into it.

After applying you take a "test". Based on that score you will either be offered an interview in a week or two or have your application dismissed. After that, there is a group information session with all the interviewees and then at the end they do individual interviews and finger printing. I heard back in a week or so I believe
Its a very strenuous job. Takes alot of courage going out during any type of weather. Pay is fair 17.00 per hr. There isnt a quota. Managment can be overbearing. During the holidays massive overtime. Be ready to give up time and family.
