I interviewed with a Gannett recruiter at my school. I had already worked with USA Today last summer as a Collegiate Correspondent and was interning for another Gannett-owned newspaper, so it was an easy interview. He didn't ask me much about the company because he assumed I already knew about it, which I did. After a few weeks, the main recruiter called me and offered me the internship.

Phone interview — one. Looked at my website previously. Spoke on the phone for the interview and then was offered the job one week later. Was given job information a few weeks later.

Interview
Straightforward. They tell you some stuff about the internship and also ask you how that aligns with your goals in the future. They ask you about specific things in your resume and also how they fulfill the job requirements. Overall, was not too stressful, especially for a large company. They really just want to make sure you align with the company goals.
It’s pretty easy. The people who interview me are really nice. They asked me several questions about my school experience and job experience. Also ask me to go through the project that I did in the past.
