I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at USAA (San Antonio, TX) in Jun 2011
Interview
Applied online through the main USAA Careers site. I got a phone call for an initial screening from a USAA recruiter and we went over my resume real quick and got down some basics on the position. Phone interview followed with 2 people on the other end, going over my resume and mostly standard interview questions, some situational. Brought in for an on-site interview with 2 people, interview focused on a list of standardized situational questions. Offer was made and accepted.
Overall it was a very positive experience, the interview was tough only because it emphasized you giving personal examples of times when specific situations occurred. Throughout the process everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, best and most transparent interview process I went through by far.

Three different interviews. One with a recruiter, one with the hiring manager and one with a panel group who worked with the team. Rigorous process especially the panel group interview.
