      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at USHEALTH Advisors (Indianapolis, IN) in Jun 2016

      Interview

Very informal, did not ask any typical interview questions. Started with a slideshow and then asked if I was still interested in the company. In the emails and job description it was very vague. With this position you're basically cold calling and trying to sell insurance. The salary is all commission, no base salary, I didn't like that. You have to pay out of pocket to get your insurance license and you make your income based on sales. I'm sure If you're someone who is good at this, this is a good company for you..

      Question 1

Are you interested? Why would you want this position?

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at USHEALTH Advisors (Raleigh, NC) in Sep 2016

      Interview

2 part interview. typical "if you sell more you make more" deal, have to have a $500 health/life license before you can even start. started off as group interview, which is when you know it's not even worth listening to and a waste of time. then did 1:1 interview, basically asking you to rate yourself on a scale of 1-10. ridiculous questions. after whole interview was finished, i sat outside in my car for a few extra minutes and saw the only 2 men in the "office" walk out with their shirts unbutton and untucked; as if they were "relieved". whole thing seems like a big scam and waste of time.

Thank you for your comments. We appreciate all feedback that helps us improve the career opportunities we provide. To address a few of your comments above; Yes...if you sell more, you make more - that's how a commission sales position works. Yes...you do need a health/life license to get started - that's a requirement by the state. Yes...we typically conduct a group orientation prior to 1:1 interviews - it provides you with enough insight to make a decision whether you want to compete for a position via the 1:1 interview process. Rather than a waste of time...perhaps this is a time saver for you and for the company. Why would the interviewer ask you to rate yourself on a scale of 1-10? Perhaps he or she is seeking insight into how well the candidate knows themselves...and how honest they are in assessing their own abilities. Again, thank you for your comments and please accept our best wishes for your future success.
