Interview
I was contacted based on my resume and asked to interview for the Sales Manager or Sales Executive position. The interview was via teleconference due to the coronavirus. When I joined the call at the scheduled time, there were 39 other people on the same call, and the screen stated that we would not be using the video function. Participants were requested to mute themselves as well as turn off their webcams. To be honest I didn’t even sit through the whole thing - I got the sense early on that this was a sales pitch more than a job interview. The presentation was entirely about sales, and I’m not entirely sure, but it sounded to me like salary is pretty much entirely commission based, so the salaries posted for the position on Glassdoor, Ziprecruiter, etc. is not necessarily accurate. While it sounds like that could be an excellent opportunity for some people, as a college student without a lot of sales experience, I personally am looking for something more stable and guaranteed, and I was a little disappointed at the lack of transparency in the interview process; I felt like I wasted my time preparing for an “interview” in which I didn’t even get to speak, and the salary didn't match what was posted.

Interview
This was not an interview even though their correspondence and invitation to meet was expressed as an interview scheduled with one person for one hour. In reality I entered the "interview room" to find upwards of 50 applicants seated in a conference room and the person I was to meet with conducted a Powerpoint presentation about the company and the job. Turns out the $100k+ "salary estimate" on Glassdoor was fictitious and the job was commission only and required long hours in a cold call environment. At least 10 people walked out at various stages of the presentation....I among them.
