I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at USHEALTH Group (Tampa, FL) in Sep 2017
Interview
They didn't do a phone interview which is always odd when applying for a job. The interview was more of a presentation about how you can make six figures in the first year. I was offered a job after the interview was over but still didn't know what the job was.
Interview process started with video on zoom (camera on) & in person interview with hiring manager. Arrive on time and big on punctuality. Open communication across the team which is great,
Very easy! Enjoyed the atmosphere and the Drive of the employees! Felt good vibes all around. Definitely have a group of people who love what they do! I would love to know more and keep in touch with them.
I applied online. I interviewed at USHEALTH Group (Elgin, IL) in Jul 2018
Interview
Went into the interview and was put in a conference room with five other people. They had a 45 min presentation about the company, literature laying on the conference table and copies of commission checks from 2009 showing you income potential that can be made. Which is comical seeing we are in 2018.
The presentation was hokey and had a pyramid scheme-feel to it. Most people seemed to be confused why they were there in the first place. It basically is a call center helping individuals and small businesses with health insurance. You have to pay them to do a background check along with paying for your own life and health insurance license which they do not reimburse you for. Most companies do not have you pay for your own background check and most companies will reimburse you once you pass the life and health exam. For a company claiming to be the second coming of Christ in the health insurance world is already displaying a huge red flag because they don’t want to invest in potential but hire as many people and see who sticks. Why not? They aren’t paying for it. They also don’t pay any small salary or draw, nor do they offer health benefits. You’d think they of all people would have excellent benefits for their employees.
This is truly a self-employed position. All the cost is on you. I wanted to hear more about the leads and the quality of them. Maybe hear a few calls or be able to shadow someone to see if this was a fit for me. They immediately said, NO. Another red flag when a company is asking you to invest in them but they can’t fully be transparent in what you are investing in. They want you to build a future with them but yet after the presentation they pull you in an office asking for money from you right away to start.
The second thing I felt was comical was the guy interviewing me used to be a postal worker and had his mail carrying bag displayed in his office pointing to it saying how happy he was that he left that career for this one. Really? Who does this? His postal worker bag as a selling prop? This had an info-mmercial feel to it! It wasn’t an interview but a constant selling pitch. Not one question about me or what I can bring to the table. Either this is a crazy bunch of narcissists or it’s another way to have people buy into a dream.
My guess is they have many call centers with many recycled leads. Their office probably won’t be standing there much longer. They will just keep renting out various office spaces and conducting interviews. Churn and burn!
