I applied to an overseas location and heard back within a few days from someone in HR. My initial conversation with this person was like a preliminary interview that lasted around 30 minutes and went well. Shortly thereafter I had an interview with someone based in the region I had applied to (via Skype) and this person was incredibly off-putting - told me I had the wrong phone number on my resume (maybe she had the wrong resume in front of her?) and implied that I lacked the basic understanding of the job when I was drawing from the job description that I had printed out right in front of me. I believe this one was around 30 minutes as well. I thought it had gone disastrously but reached out to the guy in HR who told me I had done well. A few weeks later I had another video interview for the specific position with the two people who I would be reporting to. I thought it went very well. I had to reach out to the guy in HR yet again (who was consistently helpful and kind throughout this process) only to be told that the offer was extended to someone else.
