I applied on May 17th. On May 30th I was contacted via e-mail by the Administrative Assistant to the Director of the department asking if I was available on June 2nd to interview. Luckily, I already had the day off for a doctors appointment. After I confirmed, I was e-mailed an itinerary with times and names of everyone I'd be meeting with and a campus map. I arrived in enough time to find my way around. It's so huge it's easy to get lost. I found the office and went in for my 3 interviews. Each person I met with gave me a perspective of the position. After my third interview, I was introduced to my potential co workers. Everyone was amazing and funny. It really eased the nervousness.
By 5pm I sent thank you notes to everyone I met and 80% of them responded. I was in shock because no one ever replies. So it gave me a good feeling.... After 1 follow up request, I started to get really nervous....but after a few days I got an e-mail asking for my references (5 total;2 have to be past/current supervisors). I reached out to my references and begged them to complete it ASAP and they did....and the next day the HR Recruiter called and offered me the job.
