The interview itself was fine, however my pre-boarding experience was a nightmare. From start to finish it dragged out about 3 weeks, during this time you have to put your life on pause, decline other offers, and leave your employer. A contingency offered based on my background, employment verification, urine test, etc… shouldn’t take 3 weeks and most importantly a candidate shouldn’t be waiting that long to get clearance. All the candidate wants is an assurance that all is clear, however that’s clearly not a priority to utsw. You give us almost no flexibility in the event that something were to fall through. Unfair to the candidate.

Applied online, about 2 weeks later I received an email from Human Resources to answer a few questions such as ; pay expectations, what does teamwork mean to me, are you looking for part time or full time work, etc. The following week I received a call to schedule an interview. Interview was 2 women and both gave me the impression that they had something better to be doing. Interview lasted less than 10 minutes, I was just asked basic questions off of their pre-written sheets, and that was that. It’s been over 2 weeks and I haven’t received a “thanks but no thanks” email yet and haven’t heard back from HR.
