I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at UTHealth Houston (Houston, TX) in Feb 2018
Interview
Initially I had 2 shorter phone interviews (1 with HR, the other with a potential colleague), followed by a 3-4 hour long in-person interview session onsite (with different people/groups of people). Because this was supposedly more of an entry-level role, they asked mostly behavioral questions (not specifically deep technical ones). Half an hour was spent taking a basic math/logic/reading comprehension test on paper (which just reminded me of middle school).
Overall, I had a positive experience and I thought the interviews went well, but what I disliked most was the lack of travel reimbursement. In this day and age, Skype/Webex/etc. interviews should be offered if a company isn't willing to foot the expenses of a candidate to come onsite. I'm not from the Houston area, and luckily I was able to stay with friends there while I was interviewing, but I did have to pay for gas/etc. to get there, which was an expense.

I applied in-person. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at UTHealth Houston in Oct 2017
Interview
Two phones interviews in addition to a recruiter call. Then an in-person interview as the final interview with my direct supervisor and AVP over clinical technology. It did take them quite some time to get back to me.
