I applied and then received an invitation for a phone interview. The phone interview was less than 20 minutes and I was asked very general questions. Because the call was so short I didn't think that I would be moving on to the next round but much to my surprise I was asked to set up a face-to-face interview. This actually consisted of 4 back-to-back interviews. The first 2 were in person, the interviewers seemed engaged and sharp and asked me questions relating to my experience and Uber company values. The second 2 interviews were video chats on an iPad and were insulting and quite frankly a waste of time. It was evident that the people interviewing me had no interest in what I had to say. The interviewers were sitting at their desks clearly continuing to work. At one point one of the interviewers took his earphones out as I was in the middle of answering a question and turned to talk to a coworker. The other interviewer got up mid-conversation and was gone for about 5 minutes. I went through a brief description of my background and when I was done the interviewer asked wait so what do you do? The issue was not my description, I clearly outlined my current role. It was quite obvious that he had not paid attention to anything I said. These last 2 interviews were a shame because overall the experience was worthwhile but I took off work to come interview so to have half of my interviewers not even listen to me was totally disrespectful. I would have rather not come at all. I heard back after a few days that I didn't get the job, no real feedback but I wasn't surprised. The real surprise would have been if the last 2 interviewers even retained a single detail about what I said--No way they would have advocated for me to get the job.
