First, it took over five months from applying to hear anything from them to the point I had honestly forgotten I had even applied and thought the initial email from the recruiter was spam. The scheduled first phone screen was a challenge in so much as the recruiter was late in calling, and in addition, was exceptionally difficult to understand due to a combination of an extremely heavy accent and poor cell phone connection. Several days later I was sent a "creative exercise" as mentioned in several other reviews. This, in fact, was quite obviously the most outlandish and blatant attempt at obtaining free consulting I have likely ever seen throughout my career. Four pages of instructions/requirements, in addition to two dataset files and an additional requirement of a 10-minute Powerpoint presentation all before an actual interview? Sorry, not interested in providing free consulting services. I urge those considering applying with Uber to do some additional research on their labor practices. It was an eye-opening experience, to say the least, and I can quite safely say I will not be considering any position with this company moving forward, and honestly, don't think I will use them for car service moving forward either, they left that bad a taste.
