I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Uber (New York, NY) in Feb 2016
Interview
They asked some questions about some statistical problems that Uber is facing. Next, they asked some detailed questions about my previous research projects. The next interview phase was an assignment on a hypothetical Uber problem that I had 3 days to answer. It was more like an open-ended project.

Interview
I applied online and started with a recruiter call. The next step was take-home coding challenge. After that I had a 45-minute interview with a senior data scientist which we mostly discussed about my work experience in a very detailed fashion. Two days later, I received a very generic rejection email with no feedback whatsoever! Very disappointed with Uber.
